Our Mission
The purpose of the Addictions Professionals of South Carolina (APSC) shall be to establish a statewide association of addiction counselors and other persons interested in addiction counseling; to be expressly concerned with the welfare of persons who are chemically dependent or who are abusing chemicals; to provide public education concerning addictive illnesses and the treatment and prevention thereof; and promote high standards in continuing education for professionals who provide addiction counseling.
Further, to promote a response to the general public and state leaders to the diseases of alcoholism and drug abuse; to cooperate with official and voluntary health, welfare, educational and rehabilitation agencies concerned with the prevention, and treatment of individuals affected with the physical, emotional or mental problems of alcohol or drug abuse, and to better serve those who are affected and their families.
Get Involved
Addiction Professionals who reside in South Carolina are also members of the APSC when they join NAADAC. As a member of APSC and NAADAC, you can become involved in various volunteer and leadership positions. APSC invites you to become involved in the organization. The APSC Board of Directors leads the organizations. Annually, it seeks nominations for various board positions. If you are interested in serving, please access below.
