CEU CREDIT: 1 CEU toward Peer Support Specialist Recertification

Collaborative peer support is built on shared lived experience, mutuality, and respect for each person’s path. This one-hour training defines collaborative relationship building in peer support and examines the ethical responsibilities that hold the work accountable — respect, autonomy, boundaries, confidentiality, and transparency. Participants will identify behaviors that strengthen trust and shared power, recognize common ethical tensions in peer relationships, and practice responses that protect dignity. The session offers practical phrases and actions that keep support collaborative rather than controlling. Designed for certified peer support specialists seeking CEU credit toward recertification.

Peer Support Group Facilitation

DATE:       Wednesday August 5, 2026

TIME:       3:00 PM

DURATION:   1 hour

FORMAT:     Virtual (link provided upon registration)

CEU CREDIT: 1 CEU toward Peer Support Specialist Recertification

Peer support group facilitation is a core skill for peer support specialists — bringing people together around shared experience while keeping the space safe, structured, and recovery-oriented. This one-hour training covers the full arc of facilitation: opening and closing a group with intention, encouraging participation while respecting choice and readiness, recognizing group dynamics that affect safety and flow, and responding to conflict and crisis appropriately. Participants will apply trauma-informed practices, examine ethical responsibilities around confidentiality and boundaries, and reflect on their own triggers, biases, and growth as facilitators. Designed for certified peer support specialists seeking CEU credit toward recertification.

Strength-Based Person-Centered Peer Support: An Ethical Responsibility

DATE:       Wednesday August 19, 2026

TIME:       10:00 AM

DURATION:   1 hour

FORMAT:     Virtual (link provided upon registration)

CEU CREDIT: 1 CEU toward Peer Support Specialist Recertification

Strengths-based, person-centered peer support is more than a preferred style — it’s an ethical responsibility rooted in respecting each person’s autonomy, dignity, and hope. This one-hour training defines these approaches, explains why they’re effective in peer relationships, and makes the case that they are an ethical obligation, not a personal preference. Participants will recognize language and behaviors that support or undermine autonomy, apply strengths-based approaches in everyday peer support conversations, and reflect on one change to bring back to practice. Designed for certified peer support specialists seeking CEU credit toward recertification.

Understanding Supervision for Peer Support Specialists

DATE:       Wednesday August 26, 2026

TIME:       10:00 AM

DURATION:   90 Minutes

FORMAT:     Virtual (link provided upon registration)

CEU CREDIT: 1.5 CEU toward Peer Support Specialist Recertification

Supervision is a core professional skill for peer support specialists — not a sign of struggle, but a structured space for growth, accountability, and support. This 90 minute training defines supervision and its purpose in peer support work, clarifies the roles and responsibilities of both supervisor and peer support specialist, and identifies what belongs in supervision versus what doesn’t. Participants will learn to use supervision to strengthen boundaries, documentation, and ethical practice; recognize when to bring concerns, stress, or role confusion forward; and prepare for supervision in ways that build confidence and wellbeing. Designed for certified peer support specialists seeking CEU credit toward recertification.
